Starting a business for the first time can be a challenge, with many new items to discuss and consider. Moraine Park Technical College is providing support and information for those embarking on their entrepreneurial journey with free entrepreneur workshops set for Tuesday, Sept. 11 on Moraine Park’s Fond du Lac campus in Room A-112; Tuesday, Sept. 18 on Moraine Park’s West Bend campus in Room T-117; and Thursday, Sept. 27, on Moraine Park’s Beaver Dam campus in Room K-305. Each workshop will be held from 6-8 p.m.
Hosted by local entrepreneur Randy Melzer, the workshops will cover what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur; where ideas come from; the anatomy of a business plan, the nuts and bolts of starting a business; and types of business entities, regulations and requirements.
With Melzer’s guidance, this free webinar will explore the various sources of help that is available, including services and support from within Moraine Park as well as through our network of partners and others from across the district, state, and country. Melzer received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame. His primary focus has been in marketing and sales of financial products and services in a multi-branch environment. Melzer has held the titles of Branch Manager, Mortgage Loan Officer, Financial Planner, Vice President of Marketing and Vice President of Operations. He currently owns his own marketing consulting firm.
