MPTC students to hold event for local nonprofit, Nov. 29
Students in Moraine Park Technical College’s Business Practice Firm class are applying classroom concepts learned in their program in this capstone course to help a local nonprofit organization, working with Moraine Park staff, students, community members, and some furry friends, to help spread the word.
Students will end the fall semester with an event to raise awareness and support for Sassu Enterprises, a local nonprofit organization that provides pet therapy as a self-supporting service and includes serving individuals in hospitals, nursing homes, retirement communities, hospice care, treatment facilities and group homes.
On Thursday, Nov. 29, from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in Room A-103 on Moraine Park’s Fond du Lac campus, a raffle and fund-raiser event will take place to raise funds for dog care and grooming costs, offsetting expenses for Sassu Enterprises. Guests will be joined by a few of the therapy dogs from Sassu Enterprises, to meet and interact with.
The raffle drawing will take place at noon with a grand prize of $500 cash, and 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place prizes of $50 cash. Tickets for a variety of gift baskets and certificates can also be purchased during the event, with the drawing held during the event.
