Moraine Park Technical College District Board Members, Mary Kerrigan of Colgate and Shirley Kitchen of Beaver Dam, were recognized for their more than 14 years of combined service and dedication to the College and the District, during Moraine Park’s District Board meeting held June 19.
Kerrigan was sworn in as a Moraine Park District Board employer member in September 2008, and has represented the eastern portion of the district. During her five-year term, Kerrigan worked to promote technical and adult education throughout the district.
ldquo;I am very proud of the work we’ve done and the decisions we’ve made,” Kerrigan told her fellow board members during the meeting. “Thank you all, I have learned so much and have truly enjoyed the time I spent with you.”
Kitchen joined the board in July 2004 as an employee member representing the western portion of the district. During her nine-year term, Kitchen served as chairperson and secretary and as the Board’s representative on the Moraine Park Foundation Board where she will continue to serve.
Kitchen echoed Kerrigan’s words, noting she had learned much during her time with the board and appreciated having the opportunity to serve.
“I have greatly enjoyed this experience and look forward to continuing my involvement with the College through the Foundation,” Kitchen said.
