To celebrate International Education Week, Moraine Park Technical College is holding a free Moroccan cooking demonstration on Monday, Nov. 18, from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in Room A-111 at Moraine Park’s Fond du Lac campus. The Moroccan cooking demonstration is open to the community and sponsored by the Moraine Park Culinary Arts Club.
Participants will get a chance to sample Moroccan cuisine and learn more about the 2014 spring study abroad trip to Morocco being offered March 12-23.
“Moroccan cuisine is highly regarded around the world,” Tom Endejan, Moraine Park culinary arts instructor and leader of the Morocco trip said. “I highly encourage anyone interested in learning more about Morocco to come to this event and experience a taste of the culture.”
An additional information session for the Morocco trip will be held Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 5-6 p.m. at all three Moraine Park campuses: Beaver Dam, Room K-204; West Bend, Room N-116; and Fond du Lac, Room A-203.
The Morocco trip offers an educational component, a one-credit course on the culture and cuisine of Morocco. The 12-day trip will include hands-on culinary workshops, lessons from expert culinary guides and an exploration of Morocco’s cultural heritage and unique terrain.
