Moraine Park receives flag flown at Afghanistan Airbase

Moraine Park Technical College was recently presented an American flag flown by Nathan Huenink at Bagram Airbase in Afghanistan in honor of Moraine Park.

Huenink is the son of Moraine Park Dean of Basic Education, Sandra Huenink. During his tours of duty, one in Afghanistan and two in Iraq, Moraine Park staff members Kathy Hass and Sue Wiese coordinated care package efforts for Huenink through a group called Moraine Park Supports Our Troops Effort.

“I know that Nathan very much appreciated receiving the care packages from Moraine Park,” said Huenink. 

In total, the Moraine Park Supports Our Troops Effort has sent out 90 care packages to 17 service men and women – all immediate family members of Moraine Park employees.
