February is national Career and Technical Education (CTE) month, and Moraine Park, along with the entire Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS), will be celebrating.

“Career and Technical Education month is a great time for Moraine Park and the WTCS to showcase what technical education is all about as well as what we are doing to benefit our students, local businesses, communities and our state,” Sheila Ruhland, president of Moraine Park, said.

The general public is invited to join us in celebration. Here are just a few of the on- and off-campus events being held during February:

Rwanda Genocide Survivor, Jacqueline Murekatete, will be speaking at the Fond du Lac Campus on Tuesday, Feb. 11, at 11:30 a.m. This event is free to the public.

•Moraine Park Culinary Arts students will be participating in Sliced: A Moraine Park Culinary Competition at this year’s Fond du Lac Festivals event on Sunday, Feb. 23. The competition will be similar to The Food Network TV series, Chopped.

•Prospective students can learn more information about programs, admissions requirements, financial aid and scholarships available at Discover Moraine Park from 4:30-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at the Beaver Dam Campus and Wednesday, Feb. 26, at the Fond du Lac Campus.
