Moraine Park hosts Multicultural Day April 23

It will be a cultural journey complete with food, entertainment and socializing as Moraine Park Technical College hosts their 18th Annual Multicultural Day on Wednesday, April 23. All are welcome to share in the celebration of diversity with over 15 different countries represented.
Sponsored by the Multicultural Club, Student Senate, Diversity Relations, Culinary Arts Club and Human Resources Systems at Moraine Park, this free event runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Cyber Center cafeteria on Moraine Park’s Fond du Lac campus.
There will be a cultural attire show and parade starting at 11a.m., with booths and exhibitors representing different cultures with artifacts and information about the area they represent. The cultural cuisine this year includes foods from Germany, Italy, Jamaica and Japan. Food will be served from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Students will be performing in the Multicultural Club Talent Show from 11:20 a.m.-12 p.m. This includes a Hmong dance, a Tai dance, a poetry reading and a rap presentation. The Die Speil Meisters, a three-piece German band from Waupun will bring their always lively and entertaining variety of German music to the stage from noon to 1 p.m.
