In response to industry demands, Moraine Park Technical College is offering a Business Analyst program this fall 2018.

This two-year associates degree program is offered online and allows individuals either established at an organization and looking for growth, or those seeking a business career to take program designed for school-life flexibility.

“In the world of business, making data-driven and need-based decisions is vital to be competitive,” said JoAnn Giese-Kent, business analyst instructor at Moraine Park. “Business Analysts are trained to define stakeholder needs and recommend solutions that will support decision makers in moving the business forward. A business analyst is a career path that focuses on performing a set of tasks and the use of analytic techniques to understand the structure, policies, and operations of an organization. “Employers are taking advantage of this program as a professional development tool,” said Fred Rice, dean of applied technology and trades at Moraine Park. “Offering this program is one way that we are responding to the industry needs that are present right here in our communities. This program is offered with a hands-on approach, completely online, so that students can take advantage of implementing their education into their everyday work life.”

Individuals specializing in this degree are in high demand by many industries including healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, finance, and retail.
