Straight from the future?

Virtual healthcare, telemedicine, or E-care: It is an innovative way people can now receive personalized healthcare. On the last day of clinical, first semester nursing students got to learn how technology can help maintain a patient’s independence and health as they age.

Laura Mitchell from Laura Mitchell Consulting, LLC provided information to the nursing students on aging and the use of technology in healthcare. For these nursing students, helping to reduce healthcare costs while improving patient outcomes, will be key components as future nurses. Mitchell provided information on how the aging population can remain living independently, in their own homes, while receiving nursing monitoring and care through technological means.
