Students Attend First Wisconsin Student Government Meeting of the Year

Students spent October 13 & 14 in Racine at the first Wisconsin Student Government (WSG) meeting of the year.

WSG advocates for the accessibility, affordability and quality of the Wisconsin Technical College System.  Meetings are held throughout the state of Wisconsin approximately twice per semester.  The group is comprised of two elected representatives from each of the 16 Technical Colleges in Wisconsin. One representative is referred to as Governor who has voting power; Tim Homuth is Moraine Park’s Governor.  The other representative, Lieutenant Governor, does not have voting power but becomes Governor the following school year; Josh Strnad is Moraine Park’s Lieutenant Governor.

All students are invited to attend WSG meetings.  The next meeting is in Appleton; anyone interested should contact a Student Life Specialist.
