Women’s workshop: Be positive, be strong, be healthy, be amazing

The Moraine Park Technical College Wisconsin Women in Higher Education Leadership (WWHEL) recently hosted a spring 2017 workshop for staff and faculty.

The theme was “BE POSITIVE, BE STRONG, BE HEALTHY, BE AMAZING,” and the event was held at Whispering Springs in Fond du Lac.

The afternoon started with a networking lunch; presidential welcome from Bonnie Baerwald; keynote speakers Dr. Jennifer Norden, Agnesian HealthCare, and Melissa Schmidt, MS, TNT Adventure Obstacle Course/Moraine Park Technical College. Breakout sessions featured Dr. Jeremy Schingen, Dynamic Chiropractic and Wellness Way Center; Amy Andersen, MSE and Karla Donohue, MSE, Moraine Park Technical College Counselors; Mary Rosenbaum-Waters, Yoga Instructor, The Twisted Warrior; and GO365 by the Moraine Park Technical Health and Wellness Committee.

Transitioning between sessions was a team building energizing event. To conclude the day, participants completed a self-reflection activity, event survey and door prizes were drawn.
