If you’re looking for a great way to help out families in need over the holidays, please consider joining forces with United Way of Washington County and WB Campus Dean Pete Rettler, for the “25 Runs of Gratitude.”

Beginning Thursday, Dec. 6 through Dec. 30, Pete Rettler will run 2.5 miles each day on behalf of a different nonprofit organization funded by the United Way. The goal is to connect each of the 25 nonprofits with a local company or organization who will assist in raising $1,000 for that nonprofit. On Christmas Day, Family Promise of Washington County, is the featured organization, providing shelter, meals and comprehensive assistance to homeless individuals and families.

Moraine Park is proud to be a part of the “25 Runs of Gratitude.” With your help, our goal is to raise $1,000 by December 19 for Family Promise. Dollars will be used to buy Christmas gifts for individuals and families staying at the shelter on Christmas day. Any remaining monies will be donated to Family Promise to support future needs. Then, on December 25, Pete, along with Moraine Park mascot, Maximus, will complete their 2.5 mile gratitude run and hand out the gifts!

Please help Moraine Park make this a success by sending your donation to Judy Urben, FDL Campus or Pete Rettler as soon as possible, but no later than Wednesday, Dec. 19. You can also contact, Pete or Judy to make a donation pledge. Checks should be made out to: UW of Washington Cty/Family Promise.

Thank you in advance for engaging for good in our communities!
