Moraine Park Technical College will be hosting a Business Networking Forum on Friday, October 26, from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. at their Fond du Lac campus. This free event is intended for local human resources (HR) professionals and professionals within the manufacturing, healthcare, financial and government industries to network, share best practices and learn new techniques. The event title and theme will be Operating Effectively in a High Turnover Environment.
As a young student, it might be hard to envision college and what it may look like, but Moraine Park is working hard to make it possible for students to get a jump start on their college education.
For college students, an internship is essential now more than ever. Even though education after high school is important, and higher levels of education typically translate into advanced careers, a degree alone doesn’t directly mean skilled knowledge within the workplace, and students often lack the hands-on job experience that is needed to gain employment.
“Take a moment to think about those who lost their lives that day and then reflect on where you were and what you were doing when this happened and how much has changed in your life because of it.” – Steve Pepper, student veteran specialist at Moraine Park
