Moraine Park Technical College is hosting its third annual Great Pink Pumpkin 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, Oct. 15.
Money raised from this event will make it possible for women battling breast cancer to attend the “Infinite Boundaries Wellness Retreat,” organized by the Breast Cancer Recovery, an organization whose mission is to provide environments for women breast cancer survivors to heal emotionally. Each year on Constitution Day, September 17th, the United States pauses to commemorate the drafting of its Constitution, four pages that created a new government more than 200 years ago and that continue to shape the lives of each of us to this day.
For Constitution Day 2016, the Moraine Park Technical College libraries invite you to renew your acquaintance with the U.S. Constitution and reflect on its historical and contemporary significance.
During the week of September 12th, please visit the Constitution Day display in your campus library for treats, a quiz, and library materials about the Constitution and contemporary Constitutional issues.
Back to school! What emotion does that bring to you? Inevitably, we all feel something when we hear those words. Maybe even a “whah-hooo” slips out knowing that our own kids will be back to learning.
For years as a high school Spanish Teacher, back to school came with mixed emotions. Excitement to be able to start fresh with new groups of teenagers but dread for all the work it entailed. This year is different. Continue reading
