13 students came into the spring 2018 Business Practice Firm class with great ideas and high ambition. This class requires students created a mock company, from the ground up. Everyone had to agree on one product to sell while taking into consideration the demand of their consumers.
Aurelio Rosas celebrates his May, 2017 graduation with family.
Aurelio Rosas knew it was time for a change and found great value in Moraine Park Technical College’s Medical Assistant program. “I enrolled in Moraine Park Technical College’s medical programs because I could obtain an affordable and valuable education in a short amount of time. Also, the hands-on learning and the one-to-one interaction with my instructors at Moraine Park was very important and appealing to me. You get to know the instructor and the instructor gets to know you rather than a four-year college where you are with 40-plus students, which can make it difficult to get the instructor’s attention or help.”
“My name is Juli. I live in Waupun with my husband in a house that we bought last year. We absolutely love being homeowners. In our free time we like to make improvements on the house and when the weather is nice we like to go on Harley rides. I don’t have my own, but I keep telling myself that someday I will.

The 2017-18 academic year is coming to a close for the Associate Degree Nursing Program at Moraine Park Technical College. The Nursing team held their final meeting on Friday, May 11, 2018, in Fond du Lac. They gathered for lunch prior to the meeting and shared all the great accomplishments that took place over the year. The team has much to celebrate!
Two Moraine Park culinary students, Cherie Becker and Gabrielle Linke, donated their time and talents to help the Shepherd of the Hills Dinner Auction in February.
The theme was Game Show Gala, and Cherie and Gabrielle used their culinary skills to make three decorative cakes. Two of them were a Wheel of Fortune theme and one was a massive Tiramisu cake decorated with Hollywood Squares.
These were beautiful, hand-created desserts, that also tasted delicious!
The cakes were used in a fundraising activity that challenged fundraising by table groups. The table that collected the most money got their first choice at a cake. The cakes created by Cheri and Gabrielle were the first three taken and overall the cake fundraising activity made almost $2,600!
Thank you to Cheri and Gabrielle for donating their time and talent, and representing Moraine Park at this community fundraiser!
