Student Spotlight: Jacob Stamm, Electricity

Moraine Park electrical student Jacob Stamm at Skills USA

If you’ve been looking for a rewarding career, perhaps you may want to consider a career in the electricity field. Here are a few good reasons why and here’s some insight into our program, straight from one of our students:

Tell us a little about yourself:

My name is Jacob Stamm. I’m from Hartford Wis. and I enjoy woodworking and running. I started at Moraine Park in fall 2016 and plan to graduate in spring 2017.

What made you choose a career in Electricity?

For the longest time I had no idea what I wanted to do after high school. Then for a while I had thought about going in to the cabinetry business because that is something that I enjoyed doing but after working at a cabinet shop for over a year I realize it is more of a hobby and not a lifelong career.  So then I started thinking and something that I always had an interest in but never really new anything about was electricity. Then I decided to go to Moraine Park for the one-year technical degree for electricity.

What was your experience like at Moraine Park?

My experience has been very good! The instructors are great and the programs run smooth. I am very happy with the electricity program. If you want to start a career being an electrician, I would recommend  you complete the one-year technical degree at Moraine Park because it will give you a head start in the field.
