Moraine Park Technical College is hosting its third annual Great Pink Pumpkin 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, Oct. 15.
Money raised from this event will make it possible for women battling breast cancer to attend the “Infinite Boundaries Wellness Retreat,” organized by the Breast Cancer Recovery, an organization whose mission is to provide environments for women breast cancer survivors to heal emotionally. Student Highlight: Shannon Cotton
I am the Clinical Services Supervisor at the Fond du Lac Regional Clinic and have been employed with Agnesian Healthcare for 19 years. I am an MPTC Alumnus who began my education studying computer programming and graphic design but switched my focus upon falling in love with health care. I graduated with a Technical Diploma from the Medical Assistant Program and am currently enrolled in the new Medical Office Management program.

To kick off our “Year of the Student Veteran,” Moraine Park hosted a somber and moving 9/11 Re-dedication Ceremony on Friday, Sept. 9 at its Fond du lac campus.
Special guest speaker was Jessica Osenbrugge, a West Bend native who was residing in New York City on 9/11.
Osenbrugge shared powerful memories of her time in New York during the terrorist attacks, and the aftermath to follow. She also explained how she became involved with the search efforts for another Wisconsin-native, Andrea Lyn Haberman, who sadly perished in the attacks.
Here at Moraine Park Technical College, we’re placing special emphasis right now on students who have served or are currently serving our country.
The College has proclaimed its 2016-17 academic year our “Year of the Student Veteran” and we’re planning several events and observances to honor these individuals. Continue reading
