The Walk to End Alzheimer’s was hosted at Moraine Park Technical College’s Fond du lac campus on Saturday, Oct. 1.

And the event was a tremendous success!

In fact, new chairs Jody Goebel and myself, Donna Freund, couldn’t be happier to have steered a record-breaking walk for Fond du Lac County in our very first year at the helm! More than $52,200 has been raised to date!

Applause Applause to everyone involved for an incredible effort.

Dollars raised reflect totals known at the immediate conclusion of each walk. Those totals will grow in the next few months as money continues to roll-in.

Additional donations can be made through November 30, either online here or by contacting the Alzheimer’s Association at 414.479.8800 or 800.272.3900.

The walk this year in Fond du Lac had over 400 participants on site the day of the event, as well as a number of “virtual walkers.” Each walker was asked to raise donations to support a friend, family member or co-worker.

This walk has raised more than $540,000 in the last 14 years for Fond du Lac County to help individuals living with Alzheimer’s and also assist families to get access to support and services.
