The Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team (WWAST) will make its only 2018 Wisconsin appearance in Fond du Lac on Saturday, August 11 at the Dock Spiders Stadium, 980 E Division St. Moraine Park Technical College is proud to be one of the main sponsors of this event. The first game is scheduled to begin at noon, with gates opening at 11 a.m. and admission is FREE.
The team will be playing a pair of charity softball games against the Fond du Lac Police and Fire Departments.

The Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team (WWAST) is a 501(c)(3) public charity and is not affiliated with other Wounded Warrior organizations, and its mission is to inspire and educate others while enhancing the health and welfare of wounded warrior amputees. The team is comprised of young, competitive, athletic veterans and active duty service members who have lost limbs either during combat operations or to other health-related issues. Since the team’s inception over 85% of the donations received have supported programs assisting amputee service members with funding for important research, providing medical equipment, and allowing the team to compete, inspire, and educate children, veterans and communities all around the country, proving life without limbs is limitless. Additionally, proceeds from their events enable young amputee children to attend a softball camp titled Kid’s Camp, a life-changing experience for children with amputations or missing limbs where WWAST players serve as coaches and mentors.

Donations will be gladly accepted and all proceeds will go to the WWAST.
