Being a Medical Assistant has been both meaningful and rewarding

Want to change careers? Need direction in life? So did Gena Winter.

“I hit a point in my life where I wanted a career change. I was focused on finding a job that would best suit my family time and yet something that I would really enjoy doing on a daily basis. I didn’t know where to turn so I made an appointment with an MPTC counselor.  After reviewing my interest, she pointed me to the Medical Assistant program where I fell in love with it. With my kids being active in school and sports, I was able to take most of my classes at night or online at MPTC. The training and education itself was a short period of time.”

There is such a variety in this field. You can work with any kind of doctor in any kind of practice and I am learning something new every day.  I enjoy working directly with our patients and providers and having that close contact and communication with them. Being a Medical Assistant has been both meaningful and rewarding. Words cannot describe how happy I am with my career choice.”    -Gena Winter CMA (AAMA)
