Student Spotlight: Ash looks to “make it big”
Ash is one of many of Moraine Park’s Hired Before Graduation success stories and is hoping for more big things in the future. She’s a student in our cosmetology program, and here’s a little insight what that’s been like, in her own words:
Tell us about yourself:
My name is Ash. I graduated high school in 2010. I enjoy art, video games and my three cats.
What program have you studied at Moraine Park, and why?
Cosmetology. I love color, cutting and styling hair and making people feel confident.
What are our plans after graduation?
I’ve been hired as a stylist by Laurie, the owner of Salon 311 in Fox Lake. I want to gain a big clientele and make a name for myself.
What aspect of your education made the biggest impact on you?
The amount to learn. I have a huge amount of respect for stylists.
What advice would you give someone considering college/your program?
Know that everyone makes mistakes and hair grows back.
