With summer just wrapping up, it is important to reflect upon the great memories made.  One such memory for my family and I was our first trip to the Slinger Super Speedway this past August.  This trip was inspired by a recent silent auction item that we had won at the 2016 Foundation Gourmet Dinner which included not only tickets to the race track but the opportunity to ride in the pace car!  The gourmet dinner is the primary scholarship fundraiser for the foundation and helped raise over $30,000 to help support our students.  Special thanks to the Speedway for their generosity in donating the items.

It was a beautiful Sunday August evening at the race track and our family had a fabulous time enjoying the racing and our ride in the pace car (which goes much faster than I anticipated).   We were especially excited when the winner of the race we had lead out in the pace car was the MPTC sponsored car #11 driven by alumni Alex Prunty.  Our picture of his car  in the winners circle was taken from our first class seat in the pace car on the track.

While enjoying the rest of the evening watching from the stands our family was able to meet Alex.  He shared some of his racing and MPTC experiences and even let me take a picture with him.  As an MPTC employee and foundation supporter it is great to hear the success stories of our students.  Congratulations Alex!  The experience was truly a wonderful summer memory we will always treasure.   ~Carrie Kasubaski
