“A very solid foundation” – Connecting students with employment

Moraine Park Technical College provides not only a quality education in your field of choice, but opportunities to directly reach out to potential employers. One recent example is Portfolio Showcase, where graduating students from Moraine Park Technical College’s programs showcased projects and work with prospective employers, the local community and Moraine Park students and staff.

Featured were students in Moraine Park’s Graphic Communications, Interactive Media Design and Digital Marketing programs.

One great example of the true impact of a night like this is alumnus Brandon Coster. He graduated from Moraine Park in 2013, with a main focus in our Web Design and Development Program.

“The program changed my life a lot. I was able to get a very, very solid foundation for myself,” Coster said

His work was featured at Portfolio Showcase in 2013, and immediately landed him a job.

And, remember, Moraine Park also does more than just an education to train future workers of Wisconsin. Our services don’t stop at graduation! Wisconsin Technical College System offers employers and students a way to connect to each other for job opportunities through their employment service called TechConnect.

Employers can post job openings and view resumes while students about to graduate and recent graduates can also view job openings and post resumes!

The service has been very beneficial to both Wisconsin Employers and Technical School graduates. Many Wisconsin
employers post their job openings to the service.

For example, in the Spring 2016 semester, there were over 70 job openings in the career area of IT-Web Designer/Developer.

Going to Moraine Park Technical not only provides you with an education to the career you want, it also helps connect you with employers after graduation!
