Alumni: Where are you now?

For many alumni, it’s easy to lose connection with an alma mater. The more time that passes, the larger the disconnect is. At Moraine Park, our goal is to enrich our students so they, in turn, enhance our communities. We want to know where you are now and fill that gap between graduation day and today.

As a fellow alumnus, I know the extreme sense of pride that comes along with having a college degree. We have worked countless hours and overcome many obstacles to be who we are today.

I didn’t understand the depth of this alumni pride until I was featured in a Moraine Park alumni campaign in 2014. This campaign highlighted where we were in our career path, post-graduation. I’m proud of where I came from and I was honored to be a part of the campaign. That fall, while at a social gathering, I had another alumni approach me and ask how I got the opportunity to be featured in the campaign. To tell you the truth, I had no idea why or how I got selected. We then engaged in a lengthy conversation where I learned all about his accomplishments, his time at Moraine Park, when he graduated, what he has done since then and where he was going with his career. There was no doubt, he was proud, as he should be!

Since then, I have had more alumni approach me. All of the conversations have been meaningful and  unifying. No matter how different our paths, we all have Moraine Park as a common bond and I am proud to share that.

Now, my career has taken me back to where it all started, right here at Moraine Park. And, in remembering those conversations, I want to help give alumni a voice.

So the question is, where are you now?

Moraine Park is proud to have been part of your journey. Now, let us know about your career and accomplishments since graduation!
