Business Practice Firm Class Makes A Difference

The Business Practice Firm class requires students to explore the real business world within a classroom setting.

Like an “actual” business there are many different roles including Marketing, Human Resources, Accounting, and Administrative.  The class is required to develop a business plan, market the business, create the product, and sell the product. Departments meet each week to share their progress and brainstorm any potential issues and prepare for the week ahead. This year the class collaborated on several ideas, ultimately deciding on tote bags.

The class was able to raise $65 which was donated to the Fond du Lac Humane Society. The remaining tote bags were donated to Safe Harbor in Sheboygan, an organization that serves individuals and families affected by domestic and sexual violence.
