Hired Before Graduation: One small step ………

Father and son in the park waving

An average adult walks 10,000 steps each day, but I think you can safely add 25% if you are the parent of an active child. Add relationships, a full-time class schedule, and accounting club to the equation and you may need a new pair of Nikes.

Why would anyone add an internship?

Ask May 2016 AAS, Accounting graduate Troy Kedroske. His part-time internship at Feucht Financial Group led to a full-time offer before graduation.

When asked what aspect of your education made the biggest impact, he replied, “The hands on training…Also, the instructors are always willing to help and are genuinely invested in helping you succeed.” Thanks Troy, we couldn’t have said it better.

Troy’s advice to someone considering college, “Definitely find a career path that they will enjoy. I would definitely tell them to consider a 2 yr degree at MPTC. The hands on training is great experience and with the articulation agreements, you’re able to go on for your bachelors if you desire.”

Troy is taking his own advice. While working full-time, he will take online courses leading to his bachelor’s degree.

Ten thousand steps each day, and it all begins with one small step….
