Make ‘n Take: Trail Mix – Tuesday, November 13 

11:30 am – 1:00 pm, Commons Area

For a little energy on the go, stop by to grab a jar and make your own trail mix.  Choose from a variety of options including dried fruits, candies, nuts, seeds, and snacks.  FREE, one per student/staff w/ ID.   Available in limited quantities and served on a first-come, first-served basis.  Students served first.

  • “College knowledge” for parents
  • The admissions process
  • MPTC dates and deadlines
  • Financial aid, Promise Program and other scholarship opportunities
  • FAFSA Quick Start assistance available

Haider Newmani- Iraqi War JournalistWednesday, November 14

11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Commons area

Haider’s powerful and fascinating lectures include poignant and touching visuals from his experience in war-torn Iraq as a citizen of the country and a war journalist. His various capacities as a journalist, a civilian, an activist and a family man have given him a unique perspective about war. His presentation takes the audience into a journey through every-day-life in a war zone while highlighting the sufferings, challenges, bonds, ironies and human behavior of both; Iraqi civilians and US soldiers caught in the war.
