Culinary Instructor- Susan Horvath

What do making Cheese, creating Artisan Breads, and delicious Italian Pastas and Sauces all have in common?  These fun one-day personal enrichment classes are all taught by our talented Susan Horvath, Culinary Instructor, at Moraine Park.

Susan Horvath isn’t a new face around MPTC . . . Susan teaches a variety of classes here.  In addition to working with the culinary program students, Susan also teaches our fun personal enrichment classes.  Students can learn how to make Smoothies, Pizza, Northern or Southern Italian, Mexican, and then at the end of the year, bake those delicious Holiday Cookies!  She can also teach a variety of topics on just about everything in-between.

Susan attended St. Paul College and received her Hotel and Restaurant Cooking diploma and also attended the University of MN and Metro State in St. Paul for Fine Arts and Business respectively.  Her past experience also includes serving as an adjunct instructor at FVTC for many years.  Like many talented chefs, she has worked at a variety of restaurants and employers over the last 35 years including many in the Fond du Lac and greater Fox Valley area, as well as in her home state of Minnesota.  She has even worked as a personal Chef and Assistant to Prince. . . yes, I said Prince!

Susan has some NEW classes coming this summer, so look for those soon!  Her new classes include Customize Your Quiche, Yummy Ice Cream Desserts, and Creative Cake Decorating. . . our new course schedule will arrive in your home around the end of April.  View our current course schedule, here.
