Faculty Spotlight: Jeff Quackenboss, Mechanical Design

Instructor Jeff Quackenboss

Meet Jeff Quackenboss, one of the mechanical design instructors at Moraine Park.

Jeff, a Fond du Lac native, has been with the College for 16 years. Outside of the classroom, he enjoys spending his time camping.

Moraine Park guided Jeff in his career prior to being an instructor. After high school he was unsure of his career path, so he met with the career counselors at Moraine Park. They reviewed his interests and suggested a career in mechanical design. He has worked in various roles in the field for over twenty years. In his last position, he was responsible for developing and providing all engineering personnel with the training that their jobs required. He enjoyed this and decided to go into training full time as an instructor at Moraine Park.

Jeff describes the mechanical design field as both challenging and rewarding. Individuals looking at a career in mechanical design should have an interest in working on computers and completing calculations. They should also have the ability to analyze and solve engineering and manufacturing problems.
