Learn online: Water Quality Technology

Male representing Water Quality Technology

Life is busy. But there are affordable, convenient ways to start on a great career path!

One of those ways here at Moraine Park is our two-year Water Quality Technology Associate of Applied Science Degree program. This is an online program, so you can complete it in the comfort of your home, or where your computer takes you.

This is a great program for those wishing to enter the profession as well as those in the profession that hope to advance their standing within an organization or to increase their potential for desired career placement.

So what does someone in the water quality technology do, exactly? Well, if you went out on the limb and guessed “test water quality,” you’re on the right track! We look for microbes and chemical contaminants in recreational, potable, and waste water to determine if the water meets EPA standards, among other duties. This can bring you outdoors to lakes and streams or indoors to water treatment systems.

Advanced standing is available to those already working in the career field. If you have interest in furthering your education our accredited program is also transferable to a number of four year colleges.

If you are an employer and desire interns, we may have the student to fit your need. Just let me know, and I will relay the information, as many students plan ahead for spring and summer internships.

And, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to call or email.  To register for a course call 1-800-472-4554 or 920-924-3207.
