Students Attend First Wisconsin Student Government Meeting of the Year

Students spent October 13 & 14 in Racine at the first Wisconsin Student Government (WSG) meeting of the year.

WSG advocates for the accessibility, affordability and quality of the Wisconsin Technical College System.  Meetings are held throughout the state of Wisconsin approximately twice per semester.  The group is comprised of two elected representatives from each of the 16 Technical Colleges in Wisconsin.  Continue reading

Electricity Students Test Skills in National Competition

After placing 1st during State Skills USA Competitions earlier in the year, Moraine Park students had the opportunity to compete in the National Skills USA competition held in Kentucky in June.  Zach Heberer competed in Industrial Motor Control and Paul Langenecker competed in Residential Wiring.

Both of Moraine Park’s students did extremely well during the National Skills USA Competition.  Zach Heberer placed 6th out of 21 students in the Industrial Motor Control competition and Paul Langenecker placed 17th out of 29 in the Residential Wiring competition. Continue reading

Looking to Express Your Musical Side?

Moraine Park students – Do you sing or play a musical instrument?  Did you know you have the opportunity to join local music groups? These groups may not be quite as groovy as seen in this fun photo from our College back in 1969, but they’re some pretty cool groups nonetheless. Ripon College and Marian University will be hosting open auditions for nine different groups on September 1 from 1-3 p.m.  All auditions will be held at the Marian University Agnes Center, 505 E. Division St. (almost across the street from the hospital). Continue reading
