When you’re ready for a career, Moraine Park Technical College will help get you there. For Isaac Schrage of West Bend, he knew early in his high school years that he wanted to pursue a career in the CNC/Tool & Die program. This didn’t happen by chance. Isaac was enrolled in technical education classes at West Bend East High School and quickly became part of Moraine Park’s dual credit program.
To say that Rosy Samou, of Ripon, has had a winding journey to get to Moraine Park Technical College would be an understatement.
Rosy is a native of Cameroon, Africa, and in the last five years has moved internationally twice, traveled nearly 10,000 miles, learned English, gave birth to her third child, earned her CNA, enrolled in the nursing program, and is now petitioning to be a Registered Nurse (RN).
The Fall/Winter 2018 Next Magazine, which was released last week, features articles on healthcare career laddering, the Promise program, and boot camp opportunities.
New additions include a trivia contest (win some great prizes) and a delicious holiday recipe courtesy of our culinary experts!
“I’m a second year student at Moraine Park Technical College in the Mechanical Design Technology program. I’m interested in designing mechanical components and products for machines and equipment through computerized drawings for the manufacturing industry.
Moraine Park’s Donut Club, located out of the Beaver Dam campus, held a clothing drive in early November to benefit The Caring Closet of Dodge County, which is operated by Dodge County Health and Human Services. The group collected more than 40 large boxes and bags of clothing, shoes, winter gear, and personal items. These donations will be available to teenage foster children entering a new home, and to others in severe need.
The Donut Club will like to thank those who donated to The Caring Closet of Dodge County 2018 Clothing Drive.
The Donut Club works on community service projects throughout the semester. In addition to the clothing drive, the group volunteered at the Beaver Dam campus Blood Drive this fall, and in December they are planning to participate as bell-ringers for the Salvation Army.
