Moraine Park alumnus, Mike Wetzel, is best known as the ‘man behind the scenes’ for many of Fond du Lac’s premier events. As the sous chef for Agnesian HealthCare, his unique and high caliber dishes and appetizers have become recognizable across the city.
Just how did he get where he is today?
For many alumni, it’s easy to lose connection with an alma mater. The more time that passes, the larger the disconnect is. At Moraine Park, our goal is to enrich our students so they, in turn, enhance our communities. We want to know where you are now and fill that gap between graduation day and today.
Although we all have a competitive spark living inside of us, some have physical limitations that prevent them from participating in athletic events. Enter the Angels of my TEAM TRIUMPH. Disabled athletes, known as Captains, become part of a team of able-athletes known as Angels. Captains provide inspiration and a sense of joy and excitement all the while being pushed by an Angel in a race using a specially designed chair. Captains and Angels share their moment of glory together when they cross the finish line as a team.
On Saturday July 22, 2017, Hannah Hillesheim, Instructional Technology Specialist at Moraine Park Technology College and Interactive Media Design program alum, participated in the Green Bay Packers 5K Run at Lambeau Field as an Angel. Continue reading
Moraine Park Technical College has named the late Nancy Steinke of Fond du Lac its 2017 Distinguished Alumnus.
Nancy Steinke graduated from Moraine Park in 1975 and received a diploma as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) and then obtained her state licensure. She grew up in Fond du Lac and was a 1969 graduate of St. Mary’s Springs Academy. Continue reading
The Moraine Park Foundation recently hosted its Gourmet Dinner with a special “Black & White” theme.
The event was held on the College’s Fond du Lac campus and helped raise funds for student scholarships and emergency financial assistance. In fact, we’re excited to say that this year’s Gourmet Dinner raised nearly $30,000 for these important causes.
Guests at the event dressed in black and white attire and enjoyed a six-course meal prepared by Moraine Park Culinary Arts students and faculty. They also had the opportunity to enjoy entertainment by local talent, bid on auction items, and try their luck at the event’s popular wine-cork pull and heads-or-tails 50/50 raffle.
