Cosmetology “Highlights” – Week 2

0 degree, 45 degree, 90 degree, 180 degree.  What are these???  These are the different elevations students will learn for basic haircutting.  The first 8 weeks the students learn all the basics, after that they build on their beginning skills and learn more advanced cutting techniques.  Click here to find out more about starting your Cosmetology career.

Students in Moraine Park’s cosmetology program have been hard at work this summer, and showcased their talents at a special “Evening at the Theater” Fashion Show held on Tuesday, July 18.  From Beauty and the Beast to the The Hunger Games, there was a wide variety of movies and styles on display. FACULTY SPOTLIGHT: Eileen Bouchard, cosmetology instructor

Cosmetology Instructor Eileen Bouchard in salon

While in high school, Eileen Bouchard met a cute boy and fell in love. Turns out, 35 years later they’re still together and still going strong.

Young Eileen also took an interest in styling hair around the same time – and that compelled her to look into the cosmetology field. Turns out, 36 years later, that’s still going strong, too! She’s not only still enjoying that decision and working in the cosmetology industry over a quarter century later, she’s helping others get started in this rewarding career field as well.
